Shortlisted for LAMDA MA without a Callback (UK Applicant)?

Hi guys,

So someone I know has been shortlisted for LAMDA MA/MFA Classical Acting without a callback. They're a UK applicant and applied for both MFA Professional Acting and an MA/MFA Classical Acting. After submitting their selftapes they were rejected from Professional Acting but shortlisted for Classical Acting without a callback. They wanted me to post this here as they think it's very strange for a UK applicant to be shortlisted without a callback, is this normal? All the information online seems to suggest that North American applicants can be shorlisted without a callback, but we can't find anything on UK applicants.

What do you guys think about this situation? Is there a mistake?

My friend was accepted into MA /MFAclassical acting and shortlists for MFA prof acting. If you look at the descriptions, i believe there is not a callback for the classical, just professional

Were they accepted into classical this year? Does that mean LAMDA have already sent out decisions for MA/ MFA classical acting?

I know 2 people who have been offered MA/MFA classical for 2024 but I don’t know if they have finished their offers 🤷🏻*♂️

Hey! When I was at my LAMDA BA recall, I actually found an answer to this question. A Classical MA Actor from the United States told me that it took him 8 months to hear back after self-taping for LAMDA. He didn't have to do a recall, whereas his UK counterparts did. So it appears to just be a normal part of LAMDA's process!
Sorry I hadn’t seen the reply- the people I know were recalled in person for MFA professional acting in USA (LAMDA held auditions in several cities and recalls in Los Angeles and NYC) They were shortlisted for MFA professional acting accepted into MFA Classical acting in March - I believe that the classical had initial in person audition but not a recall.
