SFE tuition fee still available?

Hello, i have received student finance in my 1st year of uni and for 2nd year( i have repeated the 2nd year twice ). So i have 3 years of student finance. As I was excluded from university after failed 2nd twice I have been awarded a certificate for higher education (lvl 4). Can I still receive student finance to go to lvl 5(diploma of higher education aka 2nd year of university)?

I want to retake my 2nd year of university for the third time and maybe then go onto my 3rd year. So 2 more years of full time uni

I don’t know yet. I want to continue the university no matter where, my concern is that i’m not sure if i can still get financed from SLC because I already took 3 years of finance to date and i only have a certificate of higher education (which is equivalent to year 1 finished)

Hi Patrick,

Based on what you've said you likely won't be entitled to the Tuition Fee Loan for another repeat of 2nd Year.

However, if you have Compelling Personal Reasons (CPR) for the repeat we can award an additional year of funding.
