Money and summer, will I survive?

Hey so I don’t work since my mum passed away and I was left with abit of money from her 60k. It’s been years now and I have about 5k left. I should have worked and kept the money but I didn’t because my mental health was bad too. Anyways summer is soon and im wanting to have a great productive summer like walks, cafes, restaurants etc and having fun. Im off uni for 6months I have spare 4.2k. Im going on holiday in July for 2weeks so I need to manage that money but also manage it for 6/7months summer. How can I do this. I’ve calculated from April-October and it says £19 a day will be 4.2k enough.

Pls don’t judge how much I spent when I was grieving I feel so bad about it anyways. Just advice 💕
Hey so sorry to hear about your mother. Some advice is to remember that uni accomodation can be quite costly, check your university and plan out how you'll spend it on accommodations, food, basic needs and tuition for 3 years. Maybe find a part time job during the summer and during uni to support yourself. Cooking at home can save a lot. For your holiday check the price of your transport, hotels etc. can be costly aswell, make sure to not go over. Best of luck!

well for starters your not going to be doing things that cost money everyday and if you were planning to do that then you might as well say goodbye to the money now. When your on holiday, don't wast money on random expensive drinks. Sure there nice but someones you just have to suck it up and deal with the fact that you shouldnt be wasting your money like this when you know you should be saving.
When you get to uni, buy cheaper food(not like waitrose) and only buy food that you need. Start a savings account and lock money continuously in there so you dont spend it. There is an all called "Too good to go" where it basically tells you which cafes, shops, restaurants are chucking food out - because they can't serve it the next day - so they put extremely cheap prices up. The other day, i got a cookie, cocktail sausages, donuts, lasagna for 1 and chicken bits all for under £5. They were all edible and tasted good too so this can also help you save up alot of money.
Why have you calculated your expenses daily? Most are usually monthly; what are you doing for things like, for example, rent, council tax, utilities, mobile phone, wifi, any subscriptions?

What are you going to do when the £4/5k runs out?
