Just to clarify, assuming that your application for a nursing degree is successful you will be leaving your job as a care assistant in order to attend university full time. Is that correct?
Are you saying that you want your employer to hold your care assistant job for you whilst you're at university, so you can return to it in three years' time?
Or perhaps you're hoping to continue as a care assistant part-time whilst at uni, and you're worried that won't be possible?
Or are you saying that you don't want to lose this job between now and what you start university? Why would you lose it? Does your employer even know you've applied? Or are they your referee?
(There's an awful lot of context / detail missing from your post, which make it difficult to offer advice.)
they will jump at you doing it part time. they get an experienced care assistant that they know and they dont have yo pay agency rates. and to be frank if they dont like it there ae plenty of care homes and the bank that will.
