Dentistry vs Engineering

Im currently in S6 doing
Higher Maths
Higher Business Management
Higher design and manufacture
Higher engineering science
Higher English
But I really have a strong interest for dentistry (my initial dream job before mechanical engineering).
Since I’m taking a gap year anyway, idk if i should get my higher chemistry and biology to pursue dentistry or stick with pursuing mechanical engineering.

Do work experience during your gap year to see if you would like to study dentistry - no point in applying and realising you'd rather do engineering
