lancaster uni start date

hi does anyone know when the move in date for lancaster uni is? for freshers? im trying to work out if it is Saturday 28th or 21st September? As UCAS says start date is 1st Oct (Tuesday, but usually you move in on a Saturday). Or is the move in date Saturday 5th Oct? Just need to know for parents to be off work.

Hey Anon,
Usually the uni starts its move in days on Oct 2nd. Im a third year student and each year so far the fresher's week has started Oct 2nd. Depending on your accommodation and college it could also be 1st oct or 3rd oct, but i dont think it will be in September.
We end uni at the end of June so they dont start a new academic year until october.

According to the LU website, welcome week is 30th September - 4th October which means move in will be 28th & 29th September depending on your college

As the above post, you will be able to move into your uni accommodation on the 28th or 29th in time for the start of welcome week.

The universities website says that welcome week (also known as freshers week) is the 30th September 2024 – 4 October 2024, therefore this would suggest that the move in date for 1st years would be the weekend of the 28-29th of September.
