from my information chromosomes are chromatin condensed into compact structures and can be associated with pairs but on a website it said that chromosomes are found in pairs? but is this necessarily true as at the end of anaphase when the sister chromatids move to opposite poles of the cells they are chromosomes at the end? can someone clarify my confusion? thanks
I suppose if you’re talking about meiosis then the chromosomes won’t be in pairs in the gametes. But the pairs thing just means one from mum and one from dad, rather than replications of the same genetic material. Sorry if I’m misunderstanding
