National 5 English

I'm currently doing 7 National 5s (English, Maths, Rmps, home ec, History, biology and Modern Studies) and have been struggling with English, I'm working at high As in rmps, home ec, history, biology and mods, but in English and maths my prelim results were in the higher 70% range and now I'm really worried approaching the exam. I especially struggle with RUAE so does anyone know how to help? I really just can't wrap my head around it, however I am confident in Sst and I can write a semi decent critical essay

Don't worry at all! I had such bad results in my RUAE prelims for n5 I literally failed both the RUAE papers but I still ended up with an A in the exam even with the grade boundaries raised . My biggest tip would be know your formulas and always quote it's the thing I miss the most in higher. This YouTube channel helped me a lot as well - englishwithmissmccombie. Highlighting extracts that correlate to the question helped me as well so take highlighters with you to the exam! You'll be amazing :]

try not to stress too much, i know its easier said than done. i would really try and drill the essays into your head as they can gain you a lot of marks, practise past papers and memorise 2 or 3 quotes from each poem and you should be good!!
