Hi I'm Dan and I've been massively focussing on my other two much harder subjects (and indeed the Comp Sci Coursework) throughout this year to the point that my Computer Science course knowledge is somewhat lacking. I'm shooting for at least an A but an A* would be nice.

For anyone in a similar situation to me, here are some flashcards that I finished recently... 512 cards so I'm sure it will be at least a little bit helpful to most of you: https://quizlet.com/gb/916724216/a-level-ocr-computer-science-paper-1-flash-cards/?i=1f16al&x=1qqt

I have a bunch of paper 2 flashcards that I haven't combined into one set yet, if people like these I may share them too in a couple days but personally my focus is on paper 1 right now.

Good luck with exams!

how did everyone do on their coursework? does anyone know if the marks will change much once they've been moderated?

60/70 for me, and considering my subpar coding skills, that's a good start with a solid A before I even sit a paper. I very much doubt moderation will do much ± a couple of marks (I'm still waiting for mine to be moderated - it has been sent off), unless there is a huge hole (metaphorically not physically lol) in your coursework that your teacher somehow didn't see.

woah well done that's amazing! i'm hoping it doesn't change much since i've been adding the percentage on to all the past papers i've been doing to estimate a grade 😂 do u think the grade boundaries will be the same as they were last yr?

Thanks! Grade boundaries depends on how the cohort does, so it's next to impossible to predict. Just make sure you've done better than everybody else and that will be a good sign!

anyone have essay predictions for the 12 and 9 markers? like they can't do AI again.. they've done that for the past 2 years.

Im thinking stuff about social media and all the stuff that went down with twitter / "x" but that's gonna be all the mushy ethics and laws stuff 🤮 - but they very well could do AI with the rapid growth of video and image generation

no, i haven't heard anything but my college has equally bad planning so i wouldn't be surprised if i don't find out till the week of the exam. has the exam been moved for you to earlier/later?
