AQA A-level French IRP

Any tips for gaining top marks during the irp discussion part of the speaking exam for French. I am aiming to get near to full marks for the speaking , as it is worth 30% of my overall grade.

Thanks.

Try speak as fluently as possible. Obviously you write out your irp draft but you won’t have that in the exam you just get prompt cards so if u can memorise what you’ve written and learn to speak it fluently. ALWAYS REFER BACK TO YOUR QUESTION

No we get a little sheet with small reminders or words to help us remember what we need to discuss next so like pictures of flags for the other countries were discussing
are there any examples online for previous years' prompt cards ? this is so interesting to me i've never seen this sort of thing before

its only if your teacher is your examiner cuz that's the only way you'd get away with it, technically it isn't allowed. my teacher was my examiner for both my french and Spanish irp and they just said don't rustle paper if you do decide to use it because it may pick up on the recording device they send to AQA to mark

Yeah I did this exam and I don’t remember being entitled to that (my brain might be foggy though).

Edit: I might have been entitled but I did the exam ages ago.

oh yeah i didn't realise that it could have been an accommodations thing. they probably changed it super recently though because my friend has extra time and some other accommodations to help her college life (managing homework etcetc) but they said the only thing she couldn't get help with was the speaking exam
