York, Exeter or Sheffield Law 2024
Hi guys!
I’m struggling to pick between unis.
I’m particularly leaning towards York for its teaching style & Exeter as it seems to have better connections (maybe I’m wrong). My main concern about Exeter however is the lack of diversity.
If you could tell me what you would go for and why.

Hi! I have applied to Exeter and York as well and I'm so scared about the diversity, especially coming from a very diverse area. Please let me know if you find any information!!
I’m doing the online offer holders day with Exeter in a couple of weeks and in in person day with York early next month. I’ll let you know how it goes!

What about Birmingham instead? (average entrant for Law has no higher grades than those universities you've mentioned).
If your grades could stretch to Nottingham, though, consider that as its graduates get in to more UK Law firms than anywhere outside of Oxbridge, Bristol, and Durham and in to more London law firms than anywhere outside of Oxbridge, Durham, Bristol, and UCL.
York would be least good option of those. It hasn't taught Law long, it doesn't look like a university great for the arts (it looks like a science park).

I’m a mature student and actively avoided doing the LNAT as I had my hands full around the time of applying, so all of the unis I applied to didn’t require the LNAT (definitely wasn’t wise).
Out of the options provided what would you pick or what would you do?
Personally, I loved Leicester University (for English) and the Law building at Leicester is lovely.
But stats wise the most prestigious UK university for Law that doesn't require LNAT is Nottingham.
I'm not massively keen on Sheffield as a city, and their law dept looks a bit too.. loose and experimental? And Exeter is popular with private schools but, although its origins go back longer, it's only been a university since the 1950s and age matters to me and the South West vibe can perhaps be a bit too laid back for me.
What about Manchester or Newcastle too?

Hi ! i'm currently in the same situation as you , wanting to do senior status law after my undergraduate at St Andrews . I dont know what to pick and ive been reading everywhere about the lack of diversity and teaching etc at Exeter as much as it ranks higher ..... im confused
