UCL English

Hi,
I've applied to UCL for English 2024 but I've not heard anything back yet. They said on their websites interviews would be rolling out from Nov-March, but now it's April. Does that mean I'm rejected?

no :/
Have you seen anything on portico?

Since the noted time period for interviews has passed, if there's no further information on portico and you have done everything required up till now, a polite email to enquire about the interview period may be reasonable.

I would frame it more in terms of the information on the website vs not having heard anything rather than asking about your specific application (because they latter they will probably just state they can't advise, whereas if you ask in general if interviews are still being held in contradiction to the website information they can probably give some info on that).

Nope, my application still says 'Received'.

Oh, I wish I emailed them after I saw your post... I emailed them two days ago about the status of my application because I applied in Nov and received nothing. Someone emailed me back today and said the same thing pretty much on their website: 'so it may be some time before we can give you a final decision. We shall, however, consider your application as quickly as we can.'

I could email them again following your advice, but I think it'd be irritating.

No harm in emailing back, you can just thank them for their email and say "can you advise if interviews are still being held, as the website says they are not held after March" or something. Worst case scenario you may not get much more in a reply.

Hi,
So someone emailed me back saying to contact the relevant department on the bottom of the programme's prospectus page about the interviews. Should I email them or just wait till they send me an update?
