do you have any tips on not being nervous and appearing confident in the exam? I have mine tomorrow 😭

I recommend:

have an early night - if you're well rested, youre more likely to remember good vocab, answers for general conversation and overall you'll feel more relaxed

no revision tonight - you'll get overtired and stressed, which will ultimately make you feel worse about it -> have a quick overview tomorrow morning instead, maybe while you have your breakfast or on the bus to school etc.

for the photo card where you have to ask your teacher something, a safe bet is to ask something along the lines of "avez-vous ?" (have you____?) or something else simple like that

an easy way to buy yourself some extra thinking time during the exam is to ask the examiner to repeat the question, you can say "pouvez-vous repeter la question s'il vous plait"

just go with the flow!! don't let it put you off if you forget something - if you stop you'll seem nervous and less confident. try to show off all your amazing knowledge to the examiner (while keeping it relevant to the question), at the end of the day they do want you to do well and are looking for where to reward you with all the marks 😉

you've worked so hard for this, wishing you the best of luck for tomorrow! 😀 🤞

Would you recommend taking French for a level?

Would you recommend taking French for a level?

personally i really enjoy it!! initially it feels like a big step up from gcse (like most subjects) but as long as you regularly revise, keep on top of workload and want to learn more about current trends and artistic, political culture, i think it’s a very good choice 😁

What did you get for French in gcse if you don’t mind me asking? Also what other subjects have you picked to go alongside French a level? Thanks for your reply

I think I’m going to pick bio crime maths and French as my fourth. For my fourth I was between a lot of subjects such as sociology, English lit, further maths but I think I have decided on doing French 😁
