1.

Keep note of which past paper questions that you got wrong and revise the topic relating to it then try the same question that you got wrong. If you get it wrong again, ask your teacher for detailed explanation.

2.

During the exam, do all the easy questions first then do the hard ones for later, especially for the 3 markers. This will save some time. (Only if this works for you)

3.

Revise key definitions as the paper could ask you some questions on definition.

hi do you have any tips on how to do better in the calculations and problem solving part of the exam

For chemistry calculations? I'd probably say practice makes perfect for calculations there's not a whole lot of questions they can ask so it makes it easier to learn all of the calculations

See when we finish the exam, do we get to keep a copy of the paper?

How did everyone find the paper, I thought they were both awful, I was on course for a B but I don’t think i got that.

What did everyone get for U2 and the limit on the recurrence relation on Paper 1, I got U2 = 16 and the limit = 15 but that can’t be possible but I couldn’t find any mistake in my working.

Reply 14

That was correct and I found both papers fair 🙂

Don't be stressed about your answers wait for dlb maths to post the video then you can go over your questions and answers and roughly see what you got

I got that too don’t worry! I found the papers really challenging too so hopefully the grade boundaries reflect how difficult it was!

I thought both papers were decent, paper 1 being the better one

however, the second last question on paper 2 was confusing it said, sin2x-sinsquaredx=0 so when I expanded it and took out the common factor I got sinx(4cosx-sinx)=0 so obv sinx=180 but for the second part I wrote no solutions

Does anyone have a copy of the papers?
