Revising with your friends - does it work?

Hi everyone!

Now that we're moving into proper revision season, I'm curious to know how many of you revise alongside your friends? :dancing2:

Here at TSR we have the Study Together sessions that are super popular, but I wonder if any of you do something similar in real life? :grin:

If you do, what are the benefits? Or have you tried it and found it didn't work? :facepalm:

Maybe morning of the exam when you just bounce questions off each other but otherwise revising with friends leads to procrastination and talking

Sometimes it has worked for me. We tend to go through flashcards and test each other :smile:

I feel it would work if my friends were a bit more hard working and less distracted, but after 15 mins I tend to find myself the only one revising while everyone else is on social media!

If you're studying the same subjects then yes you may find it helpful! Me and my friends normally do it via testing over flashcards on whiteboards and seeing how well we did and whenever we get it correct we always say we're academic geniuses (despite it being like the only one correct in around 10). We also think of ways to make revision easier by making silly acronyms for things, making it a memory along the way helps me memorise it a lot more :smile:

It really does depend on whether you feel more confident revising by yourself or with friends though!!
