can I reapply for a student loan again under a new undergraduate course?

can I reapply for a student loan again under a new undergraduate course? I left my other course because I didn't want to study it and I was getting student loans but that stopped after I left. now I'm wanting to study a completely different course but I'm not sure if I can apply for a student loan again under the same login details or with a new login details.
Hi there. Did you withdraw from the previous course? Do you have any other previous study or qualifications gained? Thanks. David

Yes I did withdraw from the previous course. I have already applied to a new undergraduate course and have an unconditional offer. I just want to know if I’ll be able to apply for student loan again. Thanks.
Hi there,

Do you only have one year of previous study for the course you have withdrawn from? Can you conform the name of your new course, what university will you attend and the duration of the course? Is it a full time undergraduate course?

Thanks, Drew

Yes it is a full time course for 3 years. Can you please tell me if I am able to apply for a student loan again? And if I should apply with a different email?

Hi,
I only attended a few months into the course before I withdrew myself from it. The new course is an environmental health science course with foundation year at Middlesex University starting September 2024 and it’s a 4 year course. I received an unconditional offer from them and I’ve already uploaded the documents they needed.
Hi there. Student Finance uses this calculation to work out how much funding you have left:

New course length + Additional Year Previous study years

For example, your new course is 3 years long, your calculation would be:

3 + 1 1 = 3 years entitlement

You would use the same account that you previously used to apply. Thanks, Leah.

Hi,
I didn’t attend the full year in my previous course, it was only 2 months and I only received the first term loan. Would that mean I could get the full 4 years?

Also, how would I be able to apply again? Do I need to create new login details?
Hi there,

If you were to start a new 4 year course then you would be eligible for 4 years of funding. You’re entitled to funding for the length of your course, plus 1 additional year, minus any years of previous study you have. Here’s the calculation we used: 4+1-1=4 years of funding. You would apply with the account you already have and would not create a new account.

Thanks, Drew
