Bath Spa Offer

so today i got an unconditional offer for BA acting from bath spa! and it’s definitely gonna be the place i go to. now i’ve gotten my offer, is there any advice on what to do next? i know i have to accept everything, apply for accommodation, do student finance etc but does anyone have any advice for preparing for university? what kinda stuff i’ll need? i’m very excited now but also pretty nervous

First off, if your accomodation is on campus, they may have a uni Freshers page on Facebook where you'll be able to find your block mates a few weeks before you go. Find out if the place you're staying in has induction or not. It's best to get crockery etc before you go. A lot of people buy when they get there and you won't have many options if you do. Start thinking about what you normally use/wear and don't take things you haven't used recently. Vacuum sealed bags for clothes will save a lot of room in transport. Don't bother bringing things like oil/salt/pepper if you're living somewhere with other students. Everyone will be bringing some and you'll have loads of bottles of oil on the kitchen counter. Don't bring any food with you - go shopping when you're there. Look into bus routes/uni shuttle buses cuz trust me carrying your shopping back to uni is a killer. Some unis actually allow food delivery like from Asda so check with that. Whether you're male or female get a small bin for your room/en suite if you have one because they won't have a bin in an en suite. Don't bother with the whole fairy light thing for decor. I got some and never turned them on. Utter waste. Possibly get an extension cord cuz you dunno how many plugs there are. That's all I can think off the top of my head.

Big congrats on the Bath Spa offer! That’s super exciting. You’ve got the major stuff like accommodation and student finance on your list, which is great.
