help! - trichotillomania (sensitive post)

hi, a few months ago I had a really severe case of this disorder, leading me to obsessively pluck at my leg hairs.

This means that now I have very visible brown spots all over my legs from the plucking, especially on my knee area. It looks a bit like strawberry legs but a lot darker.

I really really want this to go away but Im now sure how. I have managed to stop plucking now but nothing I do makes them fade. Please help, are there any creams or anything i can do to make it go away.

Some people swear for bio oil for scars/hyperpigmintation. It is likely to just be a case of time though - I have had hyperpigmentation around scars that has taken up to 2 years to fade, unfortunately (but I have issues with skin healing, it usually isn't that long for most people but is still likely to take a long time).

Sorry if it's unrelated but how did you stop? I've tried like everything it always comes back to me though

I still kinda give in to it sometimes, but I try to avoid looking at my legs so im not tempted and I keep my plucker out of reach from me. I think looking at the harm it di to mylegs in the long term also helped. Good luck
