Understanding Statistics

Does anyone know of any resources or guidance, to help someone struggling with statistics for psychology, like SPSS and the whole thing? Could really do with some tips. Thanks! I don't understand a thing

Apparently YouTube can be helpful.

I personally rely on a friend to explain things to me when I'm in an SPSS rut. He's very helpful. Perhaps ask around in your course?

Hello, you are definitely not alone being stuck on statistics! I would recommend YouTube for tutorials on understanding statistical tests and how to use the software. I would also recommend GitHub for more technical advice (this is great for RStudio - I don't use SPSS but I assume there is also information there too!).
Your university should also provide some extra support in statistics for those who need it as it doesn't come naturally to everyone, so definitely ask your lecturer or academic tutor if you have one. They should be able to point you in the right direction.
Best of luck!!

For conceptual understanding of statistics and research methods, I really like Research Methods in Psychology by Dennis Howitt and Duncan Cramer. For more practical help with SPSS Andy Field has some books and youtube videos on the topic (I haven't personally used his SPSS stuff, but found his R books and videos very useful so I would hope the SPSS ones would be similarly good). Also sometimes just googling what you are stuck on will help as someone has probably already had the same issue!
