Hey everyone! I’m prepping for the AQA GCSE History Paper 2 on June 4th. I’m aiming to really nail it, especially topics like the Tudors which I find really interesting but a bit challenging. The breadth of dates and events can be tough to keep straight. I’ve found breaking down the topics into smaller sections and revising through quiz-based apps and getting feedback on practice essays really helpful. How about you all? What are your favourite or least favourite topics? Any particular struggles or useful strategies you’ve discovered? Let’s ace this together! Best of luck to everyone!

feel like the elizabeth 16 marker will be the CAUSE of drake's circumnavigation. something like "the only reason drake's circumnavigation took place was because of britain wanting to grow their empire" but more formally worded. then again this is a complete literal guess so i'd take it as a pinch of salt but fingers crossed the question will be on the consequence of the circumnavigation like "the most important result of drake's circumnavigation was money" because that's a lot of easier you just have to talk about money, trade, land, power etc.

look at timelines 10 minutes going into the exam. i did that for paper 1 and i ended up remembering some of the dates... yeah don't listen to my advice. i made my timelines a few months ago so making them already helped me memorise some dates (barely). maybe try blurting key dates? take key dates for health & people and write them down over and over until you remember them. then again, health is a huge paper. good luck! 😭

Thank you! Yeah there is so much to learn but I do really like it (apart from modern medicine) so it's not too bad. I think I will try to blurt and do past papers to see if i can remember anything lol
