Have you checked the ACCA exemptions website?

It says 9 exemptions. However, the modules that I’m going to study at this course doesn’t match with the ones that they want for the exemptions.

Ah, just noticed that you applied for the MSc not undergrad. Any reason for taking a masters in accounting? Its not the norm in the UK.

Interestingly the university websites states that there are ACCA exemptions from the course but these don't show on the ACCA website. It might be worth checking with ACCA and Surrey.

It’s mostly for the exemptions that I didn’t get from my undergrad degree. I missed out on two core modules due to failing them. I don’t want to do an exam for them as it’ll take long and I can’t bear the stress of failing an exam again. Also, to boost my chances of getting employed into a bigger firm. I tried contacting them both. ACCA is telling me to complete the course first and the. Send them the transcript. I contacted the course leader and they haven’t replied back yet.

Which exemptions? I don't think a masters will help you to get into an accounting firm. Other than the issue of failing exams I doubt the number of exemptions you have makes any difference either (all assuming that you are applying for jobs in the UK - for SE Asia it would be different).
Hi @Tgbyh0987
Congratulations on your offer to study MSc Accounting and Finance at Surrey!

Regarding your question, I have spoken to several Accounting and Finance lecturers and they have advised me that there are exemptions from the foundation papers for ACCA. You will need to check on their website here. I understand that searching for Surrey only shows the Undergraduate course. You will need to select ‘Can’t find your course’ to show more qualifications and select ‘Accounting Major’.

Alternatively, you are more than welcome to contact the Programme Director here or view our course here.

I hope that answers your question. Please feel free to ask away if you have any more questions.

All the best
