AQA A-level English Lang

Hi, does anyone have any examples of their essay responses for literally all of the English sections that they could please send to me? Especially P2 section A. I'm a home schooled student and it's hard to find examples online.

Thank you!
Hi, I take AQA, I don’t have the highest grade for English Language but would be more than happy to share some of mine if that would help? we have lots of examples given to us by teachers and I can find some tomorrow whilst revising for you 🙂 Also Paul Heselton is really good for walking/talking mocks and creates amazing youtube videos. They include quite academic language but I really understand them. Hope this helps and let me know if you’d like me to send some across tomorrow🙂

I love Paul Heselton's videos! they've been a life saver for me honestly. I'd really appreciate any examples from both you and your teacher just so I can get an idea of structure! Thank you so much
Hi, for some reason I can’t find the ones given to us by our teacher (I will keep looking though) but I do have my entire Paper Two back from our most recent mocks. I think overall I got a C (just) and I’ve left in all the teacher feedback so you can see where I need to improve as it’s not the best answer but hopefully gives you an idea. I will try to find my notes from the last mock feedback lesson as I wrote a whole page out of notes on how to structure essays better 🙂 Sorry that I don’t have the best grade as an example (I got a 9 at GCSE and then it all went down at the start of A Levels I just really struggle remembering theories) but hopefully these help at least a little bit (I need to write more)

image.jpgimage.jpg Also I have loads of notes on the discourses section for how to write a good opinion article if this would help too (I ran out of time in this exam which you can probably tell my rushed answers)
My biggest advice for exam answer structure would be topic sentences like “the prevalence of stereotypes is another contributor to the difference between men and women’s language…”
Then explain
Then evidence
Then link to question

Apologies again that I’m not the highest grade (I am on track for A media, B in English lit but Language is definitely my hardest subject by far!) the one thing that holds me back the most is that I just don’t write enough (I’m working on it) so I would say try to aim for at least two/two and a half sides of a4 if possible 🙂

thank you for your help! i think we're on the same track tbf, it's just helpful to know how to structure it. i do soc and psychology and english lang is definitely the hardest out of all 3 for me too. i also need to work on writing enough because i feel like the exam is so short for such long questions. thank you again!!

It’s so hard! I am going to try mind mapping all my theories and then it’ll be easier to link them to each question. Hope this has helped a little bit at least

Hi, I do Media Studies (Eduqas), Sociology (OCR) and English Language (AQA) for my A-Levels. I also think english language is the hardest as I always get C grade in my answers. I got a grade 9 in gcse aqa eng lang but it is so so different at A-Level. However, out of my 3 subjects, my favourite is english language as it so interesting but I am not the best at it. Any tips for paper 1 (23rd may) and 2 (7th June).
P.S. I get my NEA back after Easter, lets see what I get out of 100!
