how do examiners mark eng lit essays??

They look at if you have met the assessment objectives (AO's) for that particular question

fristly they read the essay, then decide the level. "required to use the mark scheme to consider the whole response and decide upon the most appropriate level."

they look at aspects such as ao1 ao2 and ao3 to see what aspects have been done great and others not so great
