Transferring universities

Hi I just wanted to ask people about their experience of transferring university into second year of another university (ideally to manchester or bristol) but experience going anywhere would be great )))
The Transfer FAQ is a good source of info if you've not already found it.

It entirely depends on degree subject, your A level grades and your current Uni results, spaces in the Y2 cohort at the other Uni - and if they will accept any Y2 transfers at all, as many top Unis have a blanket No about this. Suggest you email those Unis very quickly to find out all of this.

As you have already been told only the university you want to transfer to can answer this. However, most leading universities dont accept transfers to year 2 and those that do normally expect you you to meet their A level entry requirements, expect the first year courses to align closely and have a marks requirement for your first year.

As already said your best course of action is to contact the university for advice but dont be surprised if places like Bristol or Manchester reject you. Most of their courses are likely to be full with their own students going into year 2.
