Worried about my new HOD

I am a key stage co-ordinator and was involved in the interview lessons for my new HOD. I have no intention of being a HOD but have been under two excellent HODs over my 20 year teaching career at my school. I observed the interview lessons along side a member of SLT. The successful candidate has no experience being a HOD or line managing 3 subjects. Also they used a PowerPoint from their school and did not bother to take out their school logo, ethoes, expectations and speaker notes which had notes written by their schools current HOD of what should be on each slide. I was wrote no observation notes on the candidate as I was used as a teaching assistant running around the classroom helping students.
A member of my department also applied and interviewed and said there were two other candidates. One was asking loads of questions about the school and it's policies and the successful candidate did not care and even had the other candidate ask them why they weren't asking my colleague questions which could help at interview and they just said I'm chill man. As you tell I am really concerned and worried my new HOD isn't going to be any good?

It's not your job to appoint staff - how does anyone get to be a HOD if you require thay already are one?!

I am less worried about that they haven't been a HOD before. I just don't think it is looks great that they didn't bother to take out things from their current school PowerPoint. It shows a lack of effort to me and I am concerned that might show their character. I just feel they have sent other something from their current schools department.

As I said - it's not your job. Everyone brings ideas from previous schools.
