Hi, does anyone know how to argue that a valid contract exist. i have a moot question can anyone help please its my first time.
Hi there
I know preparing for a moot for the first time can be quite stressful, give it your best!
Have you studied the contract law module? If so, the lecture and seminar content will be the best place to refer to. This will list all the cases and relevant legislations. It is important to identify the facts that are relatable to the laws and come up with arguments in regard to these. You will most likely have to go through all the elements of proving that there was a contract, and determine whether each have been or have not been met (Though you will have to find a way of arguing the facts in favour of your client).
If you have not yet studied the contract law module, perhaps you could borrow lecture notes from students in higher years? This could be a useful starting point. If not, search through practice manuals on Lexis on contract law. This will help to pinpoint up to date law, and you can start your research from there.
I hope this helps. Chloe University of Kent Student Rep
It didn't really help but i appreciate your reply. It's a thing where I've looked over my notes so many times and i just don't know how to write it out or apply it to my moot facts, i don't know where to start making me very stressed.
