The Student Room Group

Nottingham Trent, Man Met or Leeds Beckett for Games Art

I am trying to decide between these universities to study games art. If there any students/past students who have any info on which to avoid or what your experience was it would be very helpful. Currently leeds is my favorite for the city but i’m not sure about the program. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I’m an international student so i don’t know these cities or universities well at all. (I have also applied to University of Brighton and Portsmouth for the same program) thanks

Hi! So I’m currently a 2nd year Student studying Games art at Man Met! I’m not sure what avenue of Games art would be your particular choice when working in the industry, but here it is quite heavily leant towards 3D art and modelling, alongside 2D drawing practices. For most projects you are given a brief and you get to come up with your own game concept to make concept art / 3D for.

Hello there! I applied for first year Games Art at MMU. Would you mind sharing about your first year experience?
