What is your opinion on Bristol City? How would you compare it to Cardiff, or London?

I have offers from University of Bristol, University of Cardiff, Newcastle Universtiy, and a few London Unis for Comp Science.

The courses are pretty similar tbf, so I wanted to know which city is the best in your opinion in terms of night-life, opportunities, music (I am big on music) and just a general vibe?

Cost of living would be a factor for me as well.

Rock/Metal. Grew up listening to Beatles, Harrison, then fell in love with Zeppelin, Sabbath, then Iron Maiden, Priest, Motorhead in my teens. I am a drummer btw (inspired by all the great drummers of these bands). All the way to stuff like Carcass and similar stuff. PS: Ed Sheeran is a guilty pleasure sometimes.

Hi there! I go to Cardiff University, and I'm really enjoying it so far!

I really like the fact that Cardiff is a pretty nice mix of the city and nature. You'd typically find yourself in Cathays Campus, which is right next to city center - its only really a short walk. Night life is good - the Student Union holds club nights as well as some music societies. In the Student Union we have the Y Plas, which is a study space by day and a club/music venue by night. The SU books out the halls in the Student Union for concerts for all kind of musicians big and small. There's also some interesting clubs in town such as Live Lounge, that offers live music.

I saw that you're a drummer, we have a Live Music Society where students perform at pubs almost weekly I believe. You can join as a watcher and as a performer!

Cost of living is pretty decent. Cardiff still remains one of the most affordable places in the UK. The fact that we have a Lidl on campus helps haha.

Hope that helped!
