As far as I know, in versions of SolidWorks 2019 +, there is a GPU Acceleration feature. It greatly enhances SolidWorks performance in tasks and AFAIK this function can only be utilized with Certified Cards.
So just make sure that you get one that has graphics card qualified for use by SOLIDWORKS. You can find the list here on their support website https://www.solidworks.com/support/hardware-certification/

Dell Precision series laptops and Lenovo ThinkPads are also great for such.
