Hello everyone! I'm diving into the OCR A Level Ancient History Paper 2 on June 4th. My favorite topic has to be the depth study on the politics and society of Sparta—so intricate and engaging. On the flip side, I find some of the broader thematic studies a bit daunting. I’ve found that breaking down each topic into manageable sections really helps solidify my understanding and improve my writing. How are you all managing your revision? Any specific strategies or areas you’re focusing on? Let's keep each other motivated and aim for the best! Good luck to all!

What topics do you do for Rome and do you have any predictions for this paper?

What was last years questions
The JC questions were:

1.

'The sources fail to provide an adequate assessment of Nero and Gaius.' Discuss.

2.

To what extent do you agree that the Senate and senators only had themselves to blame for their decline in status and power under the principate?

3.

Interpretations question was about Claudius' character and ability.

checking on here since the exam is over ☺️

i'm curious for anyone who did the breakdown of the republic, how they found the 12 marker (Sallust letter on the reversal of Sulla's reforms in the 70s) - and the paper as a whole. i think paper 1 went slightly better for me.

Reply 15

Same I didnt like the interpretation but the 12 marker was okay but it was unexpected
