hi,
I'm doing my exam on Monday and I suggest that you separate visual analysis into two sections, you start with a general analysis of the painting, sculpture, and architecture(depending on what period it is just state the architectural terms you see), then go on to specify what the question is asking (e.g how light and tone is used to create a mood) by talking about where this is used In the painting. Remember to use specific terminology like chiaroscuro and sfumato if needed. idk if this helps but it is how I was taught to answer the first section xx

be really really specific with details - rather than just saying 'stern facial expression' break down each feature separately. also, write 2 separate paragraphs for each half of the question to ensure u cover enough!

One about war and its purpose and meaning in architecture 12 marks (I think)
And one was accurate representations of war cannot show the true horror 25 marks (apparently it said you had to use a specified artist but I did not ….. can someone confirm?)

no it definitely did not ask for specified artist. am i the only one who found the 25 marker to be so weirdly worded hahaha

a was explaining the significance and meaning of one western and one non-western piece of architecture
b was asking if you agree or disagree that accurate representations of conflict can never portray the horror of war (paraphrased)
