Cambridge entrance exam on a gap year

I want to go on a gap year and apply to Cambridge. If I’m in another country around the end of October when the entrance exam is, can I take the test at a testing centre that does it in that country?

Also, of course I need go register to take the test by a certain deadline, but can I decide afterwards where I want to take the test incase I don’t plan far ahead?

Which test are you referring to? For some subjects there are the external tests such as ESAT, TMUA, UCAT, which you need to arrange yourself, and for others there are college administered tests, which the uni arranges for you if you get an interview, and will normally be done on-line in Nov.
