Oxford PPE admission

Hello! I've been looking at applying to Oxford for PPE, but am concerned my A-level subject choices will make it very unlikely. I take English Lit, Biology and Maths, and am achieving A*A*A* currently predicted grades. I have been working on getting good supercurriculars related to PPE but haven't taken history at GCSE or A-level. Can anyone offer any insight?

Thank you!

Oxford is interested in a candidate's potential to thrive within its teaching system. Only a few degree courses require specific A level subjects. Your A level subjects are fine for PPE.

Maybe read some economic history in your hols. Try Braudel, Tawney, Ferguson, and Varoufakis.

They’re fine. You have maths, which is the only really important A level for PPE. History is recommended as a rigorous essay subject, but you tick that box with English lit.
