Hi, i was wondering if its possible to study in america for vetmed after a levels? Im going to take a gap year so i can build everything up for it but i also want to know if its even possible what unis are available for undergrad or are all vet med unis in america post grad thank you !
Hiya, I’m just gonna bump this thread up so that you might get a more specific reply, but I know that you can do that mad in America. You probably could did as an undergrad. I would definitely keep having a good Research . I’d also just doublecheck that they don’t need salts if you haven’t already done them as that is the entrance exam for most uni in America, and you can do that in a private centre here in the UK.. I hope your beer goes well and your A-levels go okay I also took a gap so if you need any ideas or anything for things that you could maybe do it I’d be happy to help wishing you the best

In the US vet med is always a graduate degree, and requires specific modules/classes to have been taken in your undergrad degree. There may also be other requirements.

Note also that doing a vet med degree in the US may well not qualify you to work as a vet in the UK and/or require additional steps to qualify. Additionally vet med degrees are extremely expensive in the US with limited to no funding for international students.

Realistically you probably have a better chance of qualifying sooner and at much less direct cost to yourself in the UK.
