Hi!

You probably need to take an AAT Level 3 Assistant Accountant apprenticeship if you're looking at going into accountancy/managing finance. You've also got the option here to examine if you want to do this before you advance to do the Level 4 and 5. Then you do CIMA or ACCA. Each apprenticeship level takes one year, and if you choose to do a CIMA or ACCA, that will take another 3 years.

To answer your previous question, you don't need to do A-Levels if you do the apprenticeship (although you can if you'd like, some people like to start an apprenticeship after they do A-Levels, but it's not required) and if you go into accounting this way, you won't need to go to university, but I'm not sure if you can follow a different method and go to university.

I hope this helps :-).
