Biomedical Science Top up modules

Hello,

Is anyone currently studying biomed top up modules at London Met or Aston university?
I would like to enrol, but just needed to get more insight and which to go for.

Those universities are over 100 miles apart. I'd look at the closest university to wherever you're based (and if you have to travel into London maybe consider Westminster as it is close to Euston/King's Cross).

Then see whether the universities offer online/face to face options and the time of day the lectures are will be very important.

Thank you so much for your response.

They both offer online modules, but for now, the lecture times haven’t been structured till the resumption date is set.

Thanks again

Hi there! I'm a first year Biomedical Science (BSc) student at London Metropolitan University. I can try and help using my own experiences studying here.

If I understand correctly, a top-up degree is studying the final year of an undergraduate degree to top up an existing qualification? It sounds super helpful!
The third year of Biomedical Science has core modules consisting of: Advanced Blood Science, Advanced Infection Science, Advanced Tissue Science, Clinical Biochemistry, Systems Pathology, and your research project.
Optional modules are: Applied Immunology, Genomics, Medical Genetics, Virology and a Sandwich Placement.

As a first year student, I haven't personally studied these modules yet but from my own experience I have found the School of Human Sciences to be well organised and the staff and academic mentors are very helpful to reach out to if you need any help understanding something.
If you have any other questions please feel free to reach out!

I wish you the best of luck in your studies!!
