Hatfield college durham university

There isn't whole lot of information available for Hatfield college. Is the laundry facility available at Hatfield? Can someone tell me if postgraduate at Hatfield are catered or self catered?

I'm afraid there's not much information available on Hatfield but yes, all colleges have a laundry service. This is a whole tour of the main college site and the laundry room is shown too at about 5:11. Some stats on postgrad accommodation in all colleges are available here and it mentions that Hatfield is both catered and self-catered. I believe the postgrads have catered accommodation in Palmers Garth but am unsure of this. Even if you're self-catered, you can get a meal ticket to eat in college.

I have looked at their social media pages and they have some room photos of their self-catered postgraduate accommodation located at James Barber House. On this page, if you click on their Room Tours story highlight, the postgrad accommodation photos are towards the end. @hatfield.mcr on Instagram has information catered towards postgraduates only and their story highlights from 2023 Freps provide some useful information too.

Hey, can you expand on the "meal ticket" situation? Is meal ticket available for every college?
Meaning can i go for colleges that are self catered for postgrad (catered for undergrad) and still get a meal ticket?

(Ill be a postgrad student)

Hi there

I'm not 100% sure if this applies to every college but I found out about Hatfield when I was looking at their socials for drafting an answer to your previous question. I know Cuths has a similar option where you can purchase a ten meals package, giving the flexibility of being self-catered plus the convenience of having 10 prepaid meals in college per week to be taken at any time, Monday to Sunday. The cost of the 10-meal package is £1,578.00 per academic year.
