Failed second year twice and wanting to transfer

I am currently redoing my second year and have just found out I’ve failed. Is it possible for me to transfer to a different university? And can I go part time? I’m doing MH Nursing at Cardiff. I only failed one assessment. I’m wanting to transfer to a partime course at a different university as this one just is not working for me

Failing a year twice will be a red flag for some universities. You will have to contact the admissions departments of the unis you are interested in and see if they will accept you and into which year.

I think you need to speak with Cardiff before planning to transfer, as pointed out, I really dont think it will be a straightforward as you may think. It sounds like, forgive my assumption, but that you feel Cardiff are being unfair in some way and another institution may see things your way.

As much as you may not wish to hear this, I dont think they will.

Hey! Thank you for replying. It makes total sense. Now that I’ve had time to process i realised it does look bad. The fail happened due to a family emergency the same time it was due in which caused a lot of distraction. I did wonder if you knew anything about appeals?

Hey! Thank you for the reply! I know it looks bad luckily my personal tutor understood that I didn’t just not try so hoping that I can just appeal! No need to run away from it 😊

it will all depend on context, what failed etc, there is a cardiff uni rep knocking about that will be able to help more accurately
