CHASE PHD studentships

I got an email in early March saying I'm through to the 2nd stage and that decisions will be sent out by 21st April - I've been checking my inbox religiously in case it comes earlier. Which university did you apply for?

Hey! I’m awaiting CHASE outcomes too - this is now the last funding source I’m still in the running for of all the ones I applied to so feeling very tense about it! I applied last year too but got rejected at the institutional level that time, so this is my first year of waiting for so long.

I also got the 21st April email in the automatic CHASE response after resubmitting but the website and my institution both say 1st May. When I double checked the 21st April email it said ‘2022’ or something I believe, so I think that might have been the date in previous years and that they just haven’t updated the email they automatically send out. So I’m assuming it’s likely to be closer to the 1st this year, unless there are any delays or they send out some rejections early or something.

Just got an email saying I’m on the reserve list! Was expecting a straight rejection (especially from the tone of how the email begun) so this isn’t the worst outcome tbh, just got to hold tight and hope enough people decline their offers 🥹🥹

Lovely people being accepted (huge congratulations btw!), are you international students? I only ask because I've noticed in other competitions international students are being informed first 🙂 Also, which universities have you folks applied to? :smile:

I’m a home student, applying for Kent, and I got the waitlist email just before 3pm today - so not an acceptance per say but I did hear an outcome earlier than I was expecting
