Can someone help with these Mathsy/CR questions pls??

Q17: The correct ans is C. I chose B cuz when u look at the graph and see where "WORLD" is on the y-axis, it's more closer to 60yrs than 65yrs. Not sure how they got C.

Q22: The correct ans is B. I chose D cuz I thought the woman got offended or something. Jus to be sure, they are talking abt the woman sitting on the chair with her mouth open right? and the woman on the stage is explaining the thing they need to audition for right?

Qs 49 and 50: For Q49, I chose D but the right ans is C. I thought 1 palm = 4 digits on both systems but don't think that's the case.
For Q50, I did 1 foot = 3 handbreadths so then 3 x 4 (digits) = 12 digits but the right ans is B.

Q15: The correct answer is A but why?? Coal consumption in the 21st century keeps on increasing but oil consumption in the 20th century decreases.

Qs 59 and 60: This q is so weird. Don't understand its concept at all. IDK what the coordinates represent. Ans for q59 is D and for 60 is B.

17: The WORLD is only a label for the hashed circle, which does have a centre close to 64 years.

22: The woman they are referring to is the one on stage. You can't see the face of the woman in the chair, and the other person sat down is a man (because he has facial hair). It's not D because for it to be D she would have to come off as very confident. It's not C because there's nothing to suggest she doesn't understand the prompt. It's not A because she would have had to go out of her way to audition for a question like this. B doesn't really feel like it fits perfectly but in my eyes it fits better than the other 3 options. 🤷

49: On the second diagram, the difference between the English ell and yard looks to be one span, which on the first diagram, equals 3 palms.

50: 4 digits in a palm. 3 palms in a span, so 12 digits in a span. On the second diagram there looks to be 8 spans in 6 feet, so there are (8/6) spans in one foot. 8/6 = 4/3, and 4/3 of 12 is 16, which is B. Handbreadths are not the same as palms which is where you went wrong.

18: Price per kilo is y/x. Price of a bag at Q is a quarter that of a bag at R, and mass of a bag at Q is half that of a bag at R. 0.25y/0.5x = y/2x which is A.

15: While oil consumption does taper off at the end of the 20th century, overall, it increases. That observation makes A the only possible option.

59: Elliot's shorthand is the width and height of the rectangle, followed by the coordinates of the midpoint of the rectangle. Rita's shorthand is the coordinates of the bottom left corner, followed by the coordinates of the top right corner.

i will do anything to procrastinate studying biology

Thank you so much. You've been really helpful.
Good luck with bio. Hope you do well in it, I'm guessing you have an upcoming exam?

Just a few points regarding the questions:

Q 22: the quote at the bottom of the picture, is that from the man sitting on the chair or the lady on the chair?

Q15: I still dont get cuz coal consumption keeps on increasing in the 21st century but oil consumption starts to decrease in the 20th century so how is there growth rate similar. One is increasing and the other is decreasing.

I'm so glad to have been of help! Biology A level in June 😰

22: I would guess it's from the man because his mouth is open.

15: I see your point. If you were to simplify it and just look at how much oil is consumed in 1900 compared to how much oil is consumed in 2000, you would see that overall, consumption does grow, so the rate of growth is positive. While it does taper off at the end, the rate of growth in the 1990s is not representative of the whole century.
