Postgrad Application Advice!

Hello👋🏻
Thinking about applying for a post grad course? Here’s all the tips you need on how to apply for a masters course!

Applying for postgrad is quite different to how you might apply for undergrad! There’s no UCAS involved! To apply for a postgraduate course, you apply directly with the university. Each university might have a slightly different process so make sure you check with the university you are applying for! I’m going to tell you about DMU! Each postgrad course will have different entry requirements so make sure you check those first😁

First, you will need to fill out an application form which can be found on DMUs website. The process is slightly different for current students and new students. For current students you can apply through your MyDMU Hub! 😊

Make sure to have a solid personal statement. Include your academic highlights and show your passion and enthusiasm for the course you’re applying for. 🎓

Also, make sure you have a reference from an academic tutor. This could be your personal tutor or your dissertation supervisor. For the application, you’ll need to fill out details such as your predicted grades. This helps the admissions team to see if you qualify for the degree. Make sure to check. academic requirements before applying.

If you have any queries or issues with your application or need help contact: [email protected] We have a dedicated postgraduate team to help with postgraduate applications.😁

We have a Postgrad Open Day coming up on the 17th April. I have attached a link to look at further! This is a good opportunity to come see the university, meet current students and academics, and get a feel for life at DMU!
