Interruption of Studies - taught postgraduate: clarity needed!

Hi there,

Could really use some help here! Various recent and ongoing family chronic illnesses mean it would be really helpful to me to interrupt my taught MA programme (I’m part-time, in the final year). However, I have now finished all teaching and have one module essay due in May and a dissertation due in September. I have read on some university pages that it is not possible to interrupt taught MA programmes once teaching has finished in some ways this makes sense, otherwise one is effectively adding year on to the module/dissertation deadlines. However, finding clear info on this has been challenging; does anyone know, is it possible to interrupt a taught MA course once teaching has finished but deadlines remain? Ideally, I’d suspend for the year now and return to submit the assessments this time/September next year. Effectively, is it only possible to interrupt during the course of teaching? Thanks so much.
