Physiotherapy placement

Hi,

I have a 5/6 week placement in 2nd and 3rd term on my second year at Uni doing physiotherapy. It is unpaid and part of the course.
I’ve put that I’ll be spending more time on placement in my 2nd and 3rd term of second year when reapplying for student finance. But I’ve seen elsewhere that I should have put I’ll be at Uni because the placement is with the University.

Do I need to change this on the student finance application or will I receive the same amount of money?

Hi there,

If the placement is integral then we do not need to be informed you will be on placement. If you can, contact us directly and request to be sent a Change of Circumstances (CO1) form, you would need to update your course details and select 'uni/college' for all 3 terms rather than placement.

Hi Ollie,

Yes, that's right, though you likely won't need to do anything.

When we approve your application we should remove the placement details on your application since we don't need to about this.
