Help with bioinformatics

Hi all
I really need some help with primer designing.
I've got the wild type gene and I know the type of mutation in the mutated gene.

HELP ME !!!
Hey!

Absolutely, I'm here to assist you with your bioinformatics needs. Whether you're looking for guidance on analyzing genomic data, understanding algorithms for sequence alignment, or need help navigating bioinformatics software tools, feel free to ask. Just provide some more details about your specific requirements, and I'll do my best to provide the support you need. Let's delve into the fascinating world of bioinformatics together!

Well I need to work with the Gun Hill mutation of HBB.
So I've got my wild type Sequence of HBB and I know which Sequence is getting deleted, which causes the mutation.
However, I cannot find that Sequence in the wild type Sequence
Don't worry! Let's try, one day you will find out this.

Studying bioinformatics is an excellent career choice, especially in today's rapidly advancing fields of biology. Genomics and other areas of biological research are increasingly reliant on bioinformatics and coding, and many universities are now incorporating these skills into their core biology programs. Regardless of whether you pursue a career in research or another area of biology, coding and bioinformatics knowledge will be invaluable. With a growing demand for bioinformatics expertise in pharmaceutical companies, R&D firms, and academic institutions, this field offers strong career prospects now and in the future. Ultimately, the right path depends on your interests, but bioinformatics skills will open many doors.

If you have the sequences from both the WT and your HBB mutant, you could try aligning them to identify the mutation locus. Have you tried using Clustal Omega?

I noticed the thread is about primer design, are you trying to design primers to use as biomarkers to identify whether the faulty gene is present in patients?
