Adult nursing

Hello
I was wondering if anyone could tell me about the placements at UWE on the adult nursing course.
Do you travel to them? How far away are they? Is it possible to do 3 12hour shifts in an row?

I just have all these questions that I don’t know where to get answers from.
Thanks

In my trust you cannot work three long days in a row. You can do three nights in a row. Usually we do 2 back to back LD shifts and then another in the week.

You can be placed anywhere from Bristol Infirmary to Swindon Hospital. You could contact the admissions team to gain some more info about this.

On the UWE website they do state this ‘In some cases this can be more than 50 miles away, and may be outside of normal working hours due to the nature of shift work on some courses.’ which gives you an idea of how far you could be placed and also community placements entail travelling.
