Hi y'all!
I am trying to aim for a 7, as in January mocks I was 1 mark away from a 7.
I feel like I will struggle with trying to remember practicals. If anyone has any tips for me they will be appreciated!
Thanks,
Molly
P.S. are there any other chats like this for other exams this year?

What subjects? All exams or do you simply mean the other natural sciences?

id say firstly use the spec to form ur rp answers get a teacher to check if there with the full 6 marks
that way you'll get 6 out of 6
then id read it over and blurt on a white board till ive remembered it
also its important that u remember what each substance is for example like in chem in chromatography the water is the solvent as in ur exam they could give u an example with smth like acetone just to say
so ud just have to identify that thats the solvent and swap it out for water
more than memorising really do practice question on the method over and over and the practice questions where they ask u abt the factors, the variables, "if u changed this what would the effect be" stuff like that

Freesciencelessons has a website for paper 1/2 praticals on each science, been using that and manadged to get 5/6 and 6/6 using them! Grade 9 student here, but I used to have 6s and 7s for ages and thats one of the most helpful resources I had in memorizing pratcicals. Also, I recommend his playlist on working scientifically, saved me soooo many marks in the mocks.

the spec really is amazing, like its literally what theyre gonna ask you but in the exam they may change a few things -- just do the spec and EXAM QUESTIONS. not long left now!

The structure and functioning of cells and how they divide by mitosis and meiosis from sections Cell biology and Meiosis.
That variation occurs when gametes fuse at fertilisation from section Sexual and asexual reproduction.
The two essential reactions for life on Earth: photosynthesis and respiration from sections Photosynthetic reaction and Aerobic and anaerobic respiration.
Metabolism is the sum of all the reactions happening in a cell or organism, in which molecules are made or broken down from section Metabolism.
