Application no GCSEs

My application wont have GCSE's because I live in South Africa and so in grade 10 I wrote our syllabus. However, I do have 4 As at AS-level each with a UMS well above 90% so will likely get predicted A*s. Just wondering to what extent this will be held against me in the application process?

Unis will look at your nearest equivalent to GCSEs, presumably this is your grade 10 exams?

As above, UK Unis are very used to dealing with applicants with mixed qualifications.
And no, this would not disadvantage your application.
They will look to see that you have the 'equivalent' of any vital GCSEs - typically Maths and English - or whatever 'academic profile' they expect of other applicants.

Just ensure that you list your SA quals accurately on your UCAS application. If any of your Unis want more info or a certificate etc they will ask you for this once they get your application.

Hi,
Most universities usually state "Grade" GCSE or equivalent. In your case, yours would be equivalent. As long as you have copies of the certificates, it shouldn't be a problem.
Best of luck,
