Sheffield En-suite Accomodation

I am looking at the en-suite accommodation in Ranmoor and Endcliffe and was wondering if anyone can recommend one of the following blocks over the others: Birchen, Burbage, Curbar, Derwent, Froggatt, Howden, Kinder, Lawrencefield, Millstone, Ramshaw, Ravenstone, Rivelin, Stanage, Wimberry, Windgather & Yarncliffe Apartments.
Thanks

I have been thinking of Yarncliffe, but I've not been able to find it in the little selection list

What's the building like? Are there any aspects that you prefer over another block?

Hi!
To be honest, most of the blocks of ensuite flats in Endcliffe and Ranmoor are very similar to each other. They were built at the same time and have been updated pretty recently, so in terms of the buildings and facilities there is little difference. Generally blocks closer to The Edge are a little louder, as they are near the pathway where people walk back from nights out. Ranmoor is generally quieter than Endcliffe, but overall it doesn't make a huge difference as it depends on who your flatmates are and who is near you in your block. Unless there is something very specific you are looking for I wouldn't worry to much about which block you pick.

Hi Sher32,
I stayed in Froggatt E block in 2021 and had an ensuite room. From my experience, Froggatt, Derwent and Howden were very similar. I cannot comment on the other blocks as I have no personal experience with them. If you require more information on this you can contact the accommodation team: [email protected]
Hope this helps!

Hello
I'm going to spend 1 year sheffield. I want to live on campus.
Practical questions: how did you manage the sheets for the beds, did you take them in your suitcases? What is the size of a "single" bed
How did you manage all the kitchen utensils : knife, fork, glasses, plates. I couldn't take everything in my luggage:smile: Thank you for your replies

If you're struggling you can very easily get to Ikea in sheffield and buy it all cheap when you get there
