SQA AI

Are English folio pieces that are sent off to the sqa only checked for AI if the piece seems suspicious?
With such a high risk of students being failed by a faulty ai marker percentage surely it can’t be used for everybody right?

I think every piece is checked by some form of automation to make sure there's no plagiarism, which I assume now includes AI? If anything is flagged it's then checked by an actual marker and judged from there. Presumably at the same time as them marking your piece although it could be separate.

They put a big emphasis on the teacher seeing the progression of your folio with all of its drafts this year so that even if something gets flagged in the AI checker they can say that your folio had a natural development and didn't just improve drastically on the last day due to AI.

If the sea marker flagged the coursework, would a student of been notified by now (for the very first time)

I don't know but I can't imagine they would wait until this close to results day to discuss malpractice.

Idk really. It’s tough - all the teachers say avorj how they have this fancy AI system. Yet even the developers of ChatGPT say none of them really work so Idk what the old people at the SQA can do
