im just wondering how your able to make a judgement from investment appraisal. for example in past paper 3s i see that it comes up and asks a question like do you think this business should go forth with the investment. however im unable to find any resouraces that explain how to weight a judgemnt for investmant appraisal and how your supposed analyse the data and explain what it means towards the business

I'm sure you did well still tbh !!

idk last year when I did that exam I was feeling reasonable... this time I feel bad like im on an E grade right now. Last year I was 3 marks off my grades because they jacked the grade boundaries hella high. Everyone is saying that If a paper is hard they will reduce the grade boundaries right? But last year everyone dropped a grade and no one got their predicted grades at my school and they didn't drop the grade boundaries then so how likely are they to do that this year?

case study 1 was alright, had data so could manipulate it. 2 was alright, although I kept almost writing Soundcloud instead of Soundcheck but case study 3 was bad. I don't think ive ever seen so many 9 markers on one exam you know? and I just felt like that gave us very little to work with in case study 2 and 3

Depends upon the case study tbh and what the investment is for

honestly I think you'll be fine as your answers were not bad. how are you with the maths. also definitely grade boundaries will be reduced if general consensus is that its hard. would you say your school wasn't the greatest either ? also thought it would be a good idea if people post answers to exam papers they've done and people could give feedback and could help everyone with exam technique etc

I think thats a good idea, im not great at maths but I got NVP correct on paper 1 but I lost a mark as I didn't put enough 0's so I got -3000 not -30000. Annoyingly and I think I did payback correctly but can't for the life of me remember what answer I got. I did all the questions but yeah idk.. I just think compared to last year ive done badly and I am so afraid of being 3 marks off again because its really heart breaking to work so hard and see your results then realise your about to be rejected from uni because you didn't do better to get those final 3 - even with a remark.
I am being negative though, I am sure paper 3 will be awesome! and the ground boundaries will hopefully not increase and I pray for nice markers.

absolutely -worst thing is missing an offer esp when its a few marks off. do you mind me asking what you applied for ? what grade were you predicted before you sat last years exams. also hopefully paper 3s good, not sure how likely but yh.

I applied to vet med but got rejected from all 4 I applied to so this year ive applied for bio vet science reduced offer which is awesome but I don't feel to confident, I have dyslexia which means I struggle to read and understand the way things are worded and why I am so bad at maths. I do biology and chemistry also and I am mostly worried for biology. I am aiming for 3 C grades. To do vet med I needed B grades but that isn't likely and I am being practical. I have never got less than C in mocks and for business always got A's and B's I got 130 last year so come out with a D grade year before grade boundaries I think 126, last year 133 for a C grade.

I got my teacher to mark my paper from last year and she said that she found 3 marks easily and that the teachers had been very harsh when marking. She also said my dyslexia didn't help as they may have misunderstood what I wrote as they are not told about students issues before marking. Thank you, I think aqa is a harder paper in general to sit anyway as my teachers said that they use AQA as unis prefer them for whatever reason. What about you?

I think aqa is definitely harder esp as they're synoptic. I applied for Mpharm this year.

i found this question on a past paper 3 from 2019:
DWS Ltd is considering investing in solar panels. Using Appendix D calculate the payback period and the Average Rate of Return of this investment. Based on your results and other information, recommend whether DWS Ltd should make this investment. Justify your decision.
im just wondering how you would structure this question. for example as you get dalculation marks for calculating the payback period and arr that takes up 6 marks. so how would i structure this would i have to write a conclusion or would i structure it like a 9 marker due to getting the marks from calculation? its a 16 marker btw

Still structure it like a 16 marker. Do a paragraph saying why they should invest using the good data so if payback is quick use that etc. and then do a paragraph saying why they shouldn’t using the case study and any maths data if it supports the argument. And then do a conclusion of whether u think they should or not w like a it depends on factor. That’s what I’d do anyways
